Drake has seemingly covered up his Lebron James tattoo with one that pays homage to Shai-Gilgeous Alexander.
Drizzy’s tattoo of James’ high school St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish jersey was previously symbolic of his fandom for the basketball legend and their close-knit friendship.
A recent close-up picture of Drake performing at Wireless Festival in London has revealed that the Fighting Irish jersey has now been replaced with an SGA Oklahoma City Thunder jersey.
Check out the new tattoo below:
SGA is a Toronto native like Drizzy, so the homage makes sense. Plus, SGA recently appeared in Drake’s video for “NOKIA” and the two have dapped each other up at different games — so the relationship is there.
In June, Drake even shouted out SGA after he bet $800,000 on the Thunder beating the Indiana Pacers, writing “Check that box @shai” on Instagram.
James and Drake haven’t been seeing eye to eye since James was spotted at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert.

In January, a Drake song called “Fighting Irish” with Conductor Williams surfaced in which the rapper didn’t name James, but seemingly called him out for being fake.
“Remember we tradin’ watches? / I gave you that Arabic dial, you gave me a numbered edition / You would even check up on my son like a pediatrician / Sure convinced the gang this shit was rooted in love when it isn’t / Show me how different we are, there’s blessings in juxtaposition / I guess now you boys gotta abandon your summer tradition,” Drake raps on the track.
Elsewhere in the song, Drake made it clear that the family-style relationship he had with the player is over. “Talkin’ ‘bout we family, well, I’m not the cousin to visit / God forbid we ever got to tarnish your public image / All that brother talk as if I really discovered a sibling,” he spits.
In February, Drake continued to let the world know that James isn’t OVO by changing the lyrics to his song “Nonstop” during the opening show of his Anita Max Win tour in Perth. “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man,” Drake rapped.
James doesn’t seem to be bothered at all by Drake’s frustration. Hours after the 6 God changed his “Nonstop” lyric, he took to social media to share how excited he was to see Lamar’s Super Bowl performance.
Even to this day, James doesn’t seem like he’s losing sleep over how Drake feels about him. On Friday (July 11), James was spotted enjoying himself at a Bad Bunny concert in Puerto Rico without a care in the world.
