Jose Baez, a prominent defense attorney who represented Casey Anthony and Aaron Hernandez, thinks the incarcerated mogul’s career will be fine.
Baez chatted with TMZ’s Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere, who asked the attorney if Diddy will have difficulty moving forward with his life.
“I don’t think so,” Baez said. “I think Diddy’s going to be fine.”
Baez continued, “A lot of what he does is in the background as a producer, so yes, there’s going to be somewhat of a hit; however, I do think he’ll be able to bounce back and work.”
On Wednesday, Diddy was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking. Judge Arun Subramanian later refused to grant Diddy bail, noting that the footage of Diddy attacking Cassie played a role in the denial. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

“I don’t think he’s going to find himself in a situation where he goes bankrupt because of his inability to find work,” Baez added. “I do think he’ll be able to recover. Not to the extent or not to the extreme of where he was before. But look, I think he’s made himself enough money to last himself for what many people would utilize in five lifetimes, or 10.”
Baez also called the prosecution “flat-out racist,” contending that if Diddy’s video of him physically assaulting Cassie had never surfaced, the case against him wouldn’t exist.
Baez also said that a “hiatus” would “benefit” Diddy. When TMZ pointed out that his hiatus will be his prison sentence, Baez said, “That’s certainly a strong possibility.” He added that even if Diddy doesn’t rebound, he’s “made enough” money to “retire and enjoy the rest of his life.”
Baez also represented Casey Anthony in her murder trial, and is a former lawyer for Harvey Weinstein, neither of whom fully recovered following their respective high-profile cases.
