DDG is seeking court approval to visit his son Halo in Rome while Halle Bailey maintains sole custody during her film shoot in Italy.
DDG is pushing for court-approved visitation with his infant son in Rome while Halle Bailey continues filming overseas and holds temporary sole custody of the little boy following abuse allegations.

During a hearing on Tuesday (June 24) in Los Angeles, the rapper and YouTuber asked the court to allow his mother to supervise his time with 6-month-old Halo in Italy, according to Billboard.
However, Bailey’s legal team objected, saying DDG’s mother has “enabled” his alleged behavior and regularly posts about Bailey and Halo online.
The judge called DDG’s request “reasonable” but ruled that any visit must be monitored by a neutral, professional third party—not a relative or friend—due to ongoing safety concerns.
If granted, DDG will also be barred from sharing any photos, videos or social media posts referencing Halo during the visit.
Both sides are now working to secure a qualified monitor in Rome. A follow-up hearing is set for Friday (June 26) to finalize the logistics.
Bailey was previously awarded sole custody after accusing DDG of physically assaulting her on multiple occasions, including incidents that allegedly occurred in front of their child.
In response, DDG has filed his own custody petition, claiming Bailey is the one who poses a threat to their son’s well-being.
He alleges she has used threats of self-harm as a form of emotional manipulation and argues she presents an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to Halo.
Halle Bailey has denied those claims, stating in court documents that DDG is “overstating the situation” and that she has her mental health “fully under control.”
“I have been and continue to be 100% available and capable to parent our son, Halo,” Bailey said in her declaration.
