The project’s lead single, “Ace Trumpets,” will hit DSPs at 12 a.m. ET on Friday (May 30).
Clipse has announced its first album in more than 15 years, LET GOD SORT EM OUT, will arrive on July 11 in partnership with Roc Nation.
Executive produced entirely by fellow Virginia native and longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams, the highly anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2009’s Til the Casket Drops. It also reestablishes the duo’s relationship with artist KAWS, who designed the cover art.
While there have been rumors about who will appear on the project (names like Kendrick Lamar and John Legend have been thrown around), fans will get an official taste of the project with “Ace Trumpets,” which is scheduled to arrive on DSPs Friday (May 30). To build excitement, Clipse has shared a visual teaser on Instagram.
The caption reads, “LET GOD SORT EM OUT. THE FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM BY @clipse. RECORDED AT @louisvuitton HEADQUARTERS, PARIS, FRANCE. EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY @pharrell WILL BE RELEASED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH @rocnation ON JULY 11, 2025.”
Hailing from Virginia Beach, Clipse was active primarily between 1994 and 2010. They were celebrated for their gritty lyricism centered on the realities of drug dealing, particularly cocaine, earning them a reputation as pioneers of “coke rap.”
Discovered by Pharrell, who—along with Chad Hugo as The Neptunes—produced much of their work and played a pivotal role in their career, Clipse eventually went on hiatus, with both members pursuing solo careers. Pusha T became president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label and released several acclaimed solo projects.
No Malice, after a personal transformation, shifted his focus to more positive and spiritual themes in his music. Despite rumors of a permanent split, Clipse reunited for guest appearances, including Kanye West’s “Use This Gospel” in 2019.
