Boosie BadAzz expressed how “glad” he was that Diddy was acquitted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in a new Instagram reel.
Upon the conclusion of the six week trial, on Wednesday (July 2), Boosie posted a video, captioning that the jury’s decision made for a “GREAT DAY N HIP HOP ‼️.” The music tycoon was found guilty on two counts of of transportation to engage in prostitution with the jurors reaching a split verdict.
“Man, I’m so glad Diddy free, bruh,” the Baton Rouge rapper began. “You know, the reason is [because] I’m tired of seeing us Black moguls get took down like that. And I’m tired of seeing us Black people go against us Black moguls like that.”
Boosie added his belief that if Diddy were a white man, “they would’ve had so many white people out there protesting” for the Bad Boy Entertainment founder. While the rapper denied that he was “on Diddy’s side,” he claimed to have been “thinking about” Diddy’s seven children, some of whom sporadically attended the trial.

“Y’all thinking about one person,” Boosie continued. “I’m thinking about these seven kids who’ve been in my kids position. Not knowing if your daddy gon’ come home or not is a burden on a child.”
Boosie concluded by expressing doubt that Diddy was guilty of anything “but domestic violence” and that the “court spoke.”
“I know his feeling right now,” he continued. “I’m just happy for them children. Diddy, sit yo ass down for awhile. That’s what you need to do. Grab Stevie J and your children and get the fuck on.”
Boosie advocated for Diddy throughout the trial, even defending him against key witness Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, who dated Diddy from 2007 to 2018. The rapper accused Ventura and her husband, Alex Fine, of devising a “take down” of the music mogul and claimed that the singer “enjoyed” participating in sex parties with her then-boyfriend.
