Blue Cat Audio has announced the release of free updates for 25 of its audio plugins and applications.
In addition to fixing registration issues for Audio Units (AU) on recent MacOS systems, these updates also include some additional improvements and fixes for all products.
As usual, owners of these products can download the updates from the link(s) received by email upon purchase. Demo versions are available to download in most popular plugin formats for Windows and Mac.
Changes in the updates
- All products:
- Fixed Audio Unit registration issues in Logic and GarageBand after using the demo version.
- Improved whitespace stripping to streamline username/key registration.
- All Applications (Axiom, Fader Hub, PatchWork, Remote Control and Plug’n Script):
- App: fixed occasional crash when unselecting MIDI output devices while sending MIDI.
- Mac App: fixed scrollbar not always appearing to select MIDI Input or Output devices.
- Connector: Fixed audio dropouts upon playback start caused by host applications that reset their audio engine (Reaper, Logic, Cakewalk & more).
- Remote Control: App can now receive and send MIDI even when no audio interface is selected.
- Plug’n Script:
- Fixed userDocuments path empty upon first init in exported plug-ins.
- Fixed Audio Unit MIDI output ignored by Logic on Apple Silicon processors in script mode.
- New MIDI “learn once” mode for parameters (deactivates itself once learned).
- Other plugins:
- Find currently selected preset easily in the menu (folders containing the preset now display a check mark).
- Show current preset in Finder/Windows Explorer.
- Plug-in can now send Bank Select and Program Change messages upon changes in the user interface to keep in sync with external controllers.
- Added an option to cycle next/previous preset in current bank.
- New MIDI “learn once” mode for parameters control (deactivates itself once learned).
- Additional features Late Replies & MB-7 Mixer:
- Reported latency is now displayed in the status bar (bottom right).
- Updated Miaow Wah built-in plug-in.
- New MIDI Loopback port to route MIDI events from hosted plug-ins back to Late Replies’ input.
- New “learn once” mode for both MIDI and macro controls (deactivates itself once learned).
- SysEx MIDI events support.
- Improved performance of VST3 plug-in and VST3 host when receiving program change messages.
