Beatsurfing has announced an update to its multi-effect plugin developed in collaboration with Che Pope, bringing even more control and creative possibilities.
Version 1.2.1 of CHEat Code includes expanded macro modulation.
We’ve made the UI a bit wider to make room for powerful new ways to modulate your macros.
You can now modulate each macro with an envelope follower from 7 different sources for more dynamic, responsive control. Each macro can also be modulated with an LFO, offering 5 different shapes for rhythmic and evolving movements.
Other changes in v1.2.1:
- Full DAW Automation: All module parameters can now be automated from the hosting DAW.
- Module Info on Hover: See module descriptions when hovering.
- Macro Scope Display: View macro values on a scope.
- Bypassed Module Visuals and controls: Bypassed modules show a still, black & white image.
- Bypass controls can now be automated from the hosting DAW.
- New Presets: Added macro modulation presets (prefixed with ‘Mod’)
- Clear Mappings: Right-click the edit button to clear all macro mappings.
- Preset Navigation: Use up/down arrow keys to iterate through presets.
- Improved Settings UI.
- Better Performance: Optimized animations.
- Enhanced Clear Button: Resets macro and global parameters.
- Logic Pro Fix: Plugin loads on mono tracks.
- Preserved Mappings: Dragging modules keeps their macro mappings.
- Fixed Curves: Corrected aliased curves on module XY widgets.
Available for Windows and Mac in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats, CHEat Code is on sale for $69 USD at Plugin Boutique as part of a Summer Sale until July 31st, 2025 (regular $139 USD). The update is free for existing users.
