Antelope Audio has announced Zenith 2, a compact USB-C audio interface designed to bring pro-studio sound into your bedroom setup.
Zenith 2 is positioned as Antelope’s most affordable way to get into their ecosystem, but it doesn’t feel “entry-level” in terms of features or build quality.
What I noticed immediately is that you’re getting the same proven Antelope conversion with up to 123 dB of dynamic range and the fully discrete 6-transistor preamps taken straight from their Orion Studio interface.
That means the audio coming in is clean, detailed, and quiet, and this is exactly what you want if you’d rather fix less and record better from the start.
The two preamps offer 75 dB of gain, which is more than enough for low-output dynamics without a booster. If you stream, podcast, or record vocals with something like an SM7B, that extra clean gain is a huge win.
The interface also includes dual headphone outs with enough power to drive high-impedance headphones, which is great if you want a dedicated artist/engineer setup without extra hardware.
A big part of Zenith 2’s appeal is the real-time DSP. You get the Tube-Opto Compressor, Sky EQ, and a De-Esser, all controlled with a simple OFF/1/2/3 selector.
It’s very much plug-and-go. You can dial in some shine for vocals, tame harshness, and add a bit of compression without touching your CPU or dealing with latency.
I like how straightforward this workflow feels because you don’t dig through menus. Instead, you just set the intensity right from the start and move on.
For streaming and content creation, the built-in loopback makes it easy to blend your mic, DAW audio, and system audio. It’s seamless and saves you from patching virtual cables or relying on third-party routing tools.
I’ve been thinking about creating more demo videos for freebies, but the routing is always a bit of a hassle, so this just might be something I’ll add to my recording setup.
If you move between devices, Zenith 2 being class-compliant and bus-powered means you can plug it into macOS, Windows, iOS, or Android without drivers. Custom low-latency drivers are available if you want them, but you don’t need them for everyday use.
Zenith 2 is available now for $299 USD / €299 and ships starting December 2025.
As a quick reminder, Antelope’s MG4+ EQ (their Maag-style equalizer) is still available as a free download, and it’s a great match if you want that smooth Sky-band sheen inside your DAW.
Zenith 2 is compatible with macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android, and supports all major DAWs through class-compliant USB-C operation.
