Alicia Keys maintains that she and Swizz Beatz have never fought during their almost 15-year marriage.
TMZ caught up with the singer in New York City and asked what she says to those who don’t believe that they’ve never quarreled over the years.
“I have no idea what anyone’s talking about. Me and my baby is on fire,” she told the outlet.
Swizz first shared last month that he and Keys have never argued due to their communication skills.
“Marriage is definitely a big word, but look at it like your best friend,” the producer and Verzuz co-creator told Us Weekly. “The communication is there. We’ve never had an argument. Since we’ve been together, our kids [have] never seen it; never seen us raise our voice [or] never seen us yell. Never seen us curse at each other. Why? Because of communication.”
He explained that they do “disagree on things” but it’s never escalated.
“When you yell at each other, no one is really listening anyway. Nothing gets solved in each other’s yelling,” Beatz continued. “People think they can own people. You can’t. It’s not property that you own. There’s a whole human, right?”
The celebrity couple will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary this July. They share two sons, 14-year-old Egypt and 10-year-old Genesis, and Beatz also has three children from previous relationships.
