MeldaProduction is offering BPB readers an exclusive 90% discount on MLimiterX, its brickwall limiter plugin. Use the coupon code BPBMLX90 at checkout to bring the price down from €99 to just €10. The offer runs until April 19th.
MLimiterX is a mastering-grade brickwall limiter built on MeldaProduction’s MDynamics kernel. The whole idea here is to make your recordings louder while keeping distortion and artifacts to a minimum.
I’ve tested countless limiters, and this is one of the most transparent options out there. It is designed to handle the job without making things sound crushed or unnatural.
The interface has two modes.
The easy screen gives you a simplified four-knob layout covering the essentials, which is enough for most limiting tasks. If you need more control, the edit screen gives you the full parameter set, including adjustable attack and release shapes, look-ahead, peak hold, psychoacoustic pre-filtering, and spectral smoothing.
The Character control lets you choose between Crisp (which adds a touch of saturation) and Clean (for more transparent results).
Now, I said it’s very transparent by default, but there’s also a saturation panel if you want some color.
MLimiterX includes a dedicated saturation stage that runs after the limiting, with its own Threshold, Mode, and Dry/Wet controls. This lets you push a little harmonic color into the signal on top of the limiting, which can help a mix feel louder without just squashing it harder.
The metering is thorough, too. You get input and output level meters, a gain reduction meter, a stereo width display, LU loudness (following ITU-R BS.1770-3 and EBU 3341 specs), loudness range, PLR (peak-to-loudness ratio), and a crest factor meter.

The PLR display is super useful if you’re mastering for streaming platforms, since it tells you how much headroom your master has above its integrated loudness.
MLimiterX also supports mid/side processing, oversampling, and up to 8-channel surround operation. The A-H preset slots let you store and compare up to eight different configurations within a single session, which is handy when you’re trying to decide between different limiting approaches on the same material.
At €10 with the coupon BPBMLX90, it’s definitely worth picking up if you need a capable mastering-grade limiter with a solid set of added features and good metering.
MLimiterX is available in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS 10.14 Mojave and newer, including Apple Silicon.
