It’s official! We’re proud to announce the launch of our first fully accredited degree programs in the U.S.: a two-year Associate Degree and a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production & Audio Engineering at our Los Angeles campus. In addition, we’re also introducing two new online programs: a two-year Associate Degree and a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production & Sound Design.
Applications are now officially open for all programs, with the first classes beginning in October 2026.
As California’s only college dedicated to music production degrees, we offer students an immersive education designed to prepare them for careers in one of the world’s most competitive industries. Both the on-campus and online degree options provide a blend of advanced production training, creative collaboration, and real-world career development.
“Launching these new programs is a landmark moment for pointblank,” said CEO Rob Cowan. “For the first time, aspiring producers and engineers can earn accredited degrees that are entirely focused on the craft of music production.”
With this expansion, we provide students with an unparalleled opportunity to gain industry-ready skills in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world, while also making the same high-level training accessible to students across the globe.

The Associate and Bachelor’s Degrees in LA will give students access to state-of-the-art studios, collaboration across genres, and a curriculum that blends technical mastery with creative exploration. Coursework covers advanced production techniques, mixing, sound design, creative writing, music publishing, audio engineering, mastering and more.
“Los Angeles has always been a global center for music and entertainment, and pointblank is uniquely positioned to prepare students for that world,” explained Institutional Director Jay Ryall. “These new degree pathways strike the perfect balance between academic rigor and hands-on industry experience, whether you’re studying with us on campus or online.”
The new online degrees mirror this same commitment to excellence, enabling students anywhere to connect with our global network of instructors and peers. Students will benefit from weekly interactive, live classes, personalized feedback, and the flexibility to study from their own creative environments.
