Democratic New York City mayoral election nominee Zohran Mamdani linked up with the Wu-Tang Clan, Run The Jewels, and the LOX for the final Wu-Tang NYC show at Madison Square Garden.
In a new campaign video shared by Mamdani’s team, he joined former Democratic representative Jamaal Bowman to attend the sold-out show. He shook hands and took pictures with every surviving member of the Wu-Tang and spoke with Killer Mike and El-P of Run The Jewels, who told him they would love to talk with him more and that they’re rooting for him in the election.
He also spoke to The LOX, with Jadakiss telling him, “You in the right hands, better than Allstate.” The video concludes with him speaking to RZA one-on-one, where the rapper and producer spoke about feeling “stuck” in Brownsville. “I think a big part of it is to make Brownsville a place you don’t have to leave, to have that same life,” Mamdani told RZA. “The whole campaign that we ran on was about, ‘How do we make the most expensive city in the United States of America affordable?'”

After winning the Democratic primary, Zohran Mamdani has continued to grow in popularity. He managed to beat Andrew Cuomo, who has since pivoted to running as an independent, and he was able to use one of Cuomo’s recent campaign ads to ratio him with a donation link. The election will take place this November, with Mamdani facing off against independent Andrew Cuomo, Republican nominee Curtis Silwa, and incumbent NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who is also running.
