Maxo Kream was arrested after being pulled over by police in Texas.
TMZ reports that cops stopped the Houston native due to expired plates, which were supposed to be renewed in May. Kream allegedly pulled over, but took off again after the officer climbed out of the vehicle.
If there was a chase, it was brief. The officer drove after Maxo, who pulled over again. He was subsequently charged with unlawful carrying of guns by a registered gang member after two guns were discovered in his car.
Charging documents obtained by the outlet also show that he’s been hit with a misdemeanor charge of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.

“Maxo did not flee from the police, he complied with the commands of the arresting officer. We plan to fight these accusations in court,” his lawyer told TMZ.
Kream’s next court date is July 7.
Last November, the 35-year-old dropped off his fourth studio album, Personification, which boasts appearances from Tyler, the Creator, Rob49, Skilla Baby, That Mexican OT, and Denzel Curry, among others.
The Curry-featuring song, “Triggaman,” also recently received the video treatment, which you can watch below.
