An attorney for R. Kelly is shutting down claims that a video of the singer’s fiancée, Joycelyn Savage, was generated with artificial intelligence.
Savage’s parents, JonJelyn and Timothy Savage, responded to their daughter’s video with a nearly three-minute clip of their own shared to Instagram on Monday.
“It’s been about a little over six years since we physically have seen her out in public. The video that we saw did bring some concerns because it appears that the video is A.I.-generated,” said JonJelyn.
She continued, “Anybody knows about A.I., how realistic videos can be from just a simple picture. Her voice, speech didn’t match some of the video recordings, the gestures whipping rock. Image on her shirt, actually the mouth moved when she talked.”
Beau Brindley, the R&B singer’s lawyer, told TMZ that he spoke directly to Joycelyn before the video was recorded, and she told him the same things she stated publicly and insisted that there’s no chance the video was manipulated.

Per Brindley, Joycelyn is living near the Federal Correctional Institution in Butner, North Carolina, in order to regularly visit Kelly. He claims she is earning her own income, receiving support from friends, and has no involvement with her family.
Joycelyn, 29, claimed she welcomed her first child with Kelly in 2022 and proposed to him that same year. In a video update shared online, she shut down accusations from her concerned family that she’s a “sex slave” to the singer.
“I am not a victim. I’ve been with Robert for ten years, he has been incarcerated for six years, and I have seen him every weekend for the past six years,” she said in the clip.
Joycelyn continued, “Please do not believe the lies that my mother and father are coming out here saying about me and Robert. I am not held against my will, I am not a ‘sex slave,’ I am not ‘brainwashed,’ or any of those crazy lies that were told on me. I just want Robert to get the righteous justice that he deserves, because he deserves to be free. Enough is enough.”
